Nearly half smartphone users ‘have shopped online’

New research from eDigitalResearch and Portaltech shows that almost half of Smartphone users (48.2%) have now shopped online and on their mobile, increasing by a dramatic 13% in just nine months.

NFC Mobile Payments: ‘Contactless’ transactions ‘to reach $50bn by 2014’

A new report from Juniper Research forecasts that global NFC mobile contactless payment transactions will reach nearly $50 billion worldwide by 2014. Following on from the Orange Mobile Payments service launch in the UK, 2011 and 2012 are expected to be banner years for NFC service rollouts.
