Facebook to open first international engineering office in London

Facebook has announced that it is to open an engineering office in London, and has begun initial recruitment for 22 engineers. The new site will be Facebook’s first engineering office outside of the US – currently Facebook has locations in New York, Seattle and at its Menlo Park HQ.

Amazon to open creative centre in London

Amazon is set to open a new London-based site for some of its design and development teams. The centre, based near London’s “Silicon Roundabout” will house hundreds of staff including software development engineers, graphic designers and teams from both Pushbutton and Lovefilm.
