HMV has suspended trading online via HMV.com following the appointment of administrators.
The website has been replaced by a notice from administration firm Deloitte, informing customers that “no purchases can be made online until further notice”.
It follows a move yesterday to suspend the sale and redemption of gift vouchers.
All HMV stores currently remain open for trading.
HMV’s 4350 staff were informed about the the firm’s fall into administration yesterday morning, although many had already discovered their employer’s fate from news reports the previous night.
