  1. A good article that, IME, rings very true. I’d , however, add another level to the analysis. Whilst an effective PR strategy must accompany a company’s social media activity, both of these should also sit within an overall marketing strategy and mix. Otherwise, the outcome will be a social media and PR combination that would be just as unstructured, and unrelated to company strategy (or supportive of it) as stand-alone social media activity would be.
