New boss at AOL UK

The AOL Advertising.com Group has hired former Collective boss Steve Filler as its UK Managing Director.

Filler will be responsible for running the UK’s branded video content distribution business goviral and ad network Advertising.com.
With over 18 years of experience in digital advertising and sales, Filler will focus on growing the Advertising.com Group’s presence in the UK, capitalising on the business’ leading reputation of partnering premium publishers, advertisers and agencies to maximise the value of online brands.
Prior to joining the Advertising.com Group, Filler held the position of Managing Director at media and technology network Collective, and prior to that was Commercial Director at Unruly Media and before that, Videojug.
He launched the UK business at Collective in 2010, building a team of 35 within two years selling both brand and direct response solutions, and acquiring the pre-roll network WebTV.
During his time at Unruly Media, Filler established the business in the UK and developed the business proposition from viral seeding specialists to a full service content distribution company. He built his career in digital at The Guardian where he held the role of Advertising and Sponsorship Manager.

Steve starts his new role on 3rd September 2012 and will report directly to René Rechtman.
The AOL Advertising.com Group was formed in May 2011. The focus of this group is to position AOL as a global partner for leading publishers, advertisers and agencies seeking to maximise the value of their online brands through premium formats, video, content, networks, platforms and monetisation. The businesses that make up the Advertising.com group in the UK are Advertising.com, goviral and ADTECH.
