LinkShare rebrands as Ratuken embarks on global push

February 27, 2012

Affilate network LinkShare has revealed a new brand logo and strategic approach under the Rakuten group, which will see the company begin to adopt a more aggressive push into global markets.

The move reflects the strategy of LinkShare’s parent company, Rakuten, to increase awareness of the Rakuten brand around the world as a leader in internet services including e-commerce and online marketing.
The updated logo also signifies the importance of performance marketing within Rakuten as a key strategy for driving results for its clients.
The company continues to enhance the LinkShare platform, which has consistently achieved record-breaking network sales since being acquired. Same store sales in the LinkShare network in the UK increased 31% year-over-year in 2011 alone.
“The new Rakuten LinkShare logo marks an important milestone in the evolution of the LinkShare brand,” said Yaz Iida, president and CEO of LinkShare. “As Rakuten expands its global presence, the LinkShare platform will continue to drive results and create new opportunities for advertisers and publishers through increased market reach and additional services.”
Acquired by Rakuten in 2005, Rakuten LinkShare was recently ranked the #1 Affiliate Marketing Network according to an annual survey of more than 5,000 online advertisers, publishers and agencies.
In 2011, Rakuten LinkShare signed several hundred new advertisers and thousands of new publishers to its network throughout the US, Canada, UK, and Japan. In addition to full-service and self-service affiliate marketing solutions, Rakuten LinkShare also offers search marketing and multi-channel lead generation services.
