Ex-Paypal director joins games firm BigPoint

August 6, 2012

Online games developer Bigpoint has appointed Jochen Siegert to lead its payment team.

Siegert was former director of EMEA strategy & business development at PayPal Europe, and will join the Bigpoint Luxembourg office to take on leadership of the payment team.
Before his role as Director of EMEA Strategy & Business Development at PayPal Europe, Siegert also served as the Director of Financial Products within PayPal Europe. In Siegert’s previous role he not only built up the European Financial Products department, but also developed and executed PayPal’s continental European card and credit strategy. Throughout his 12+ years in the payment industry, Jochen has gained experience in all facets of the payment value chain; from working with merchants and consumers to international payment systems and e-commerce.
When asked about the new member of the Bigpoint Family, Bigpoint founder and CEO Heiko Hubertz happily said: “Now that Jochen Siegert is onboard, we will be able to really take our payment options to the next level. With all of his expertise, I’m certain that we will be able to secure the best payment terms in the industry.”
