Instagram influencer marketing service announces two senior appointments

April 9, 2019

Following a period of rapid growth, leading Instagram influencer marketing service, Takumi, has announced two new senior appointments – a promotion and new hire for the business.

New Chief Executive Officer

Adam Williams has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Takumi, where he has held the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) since January 2018. Adam has more than 18 years of media experience, and prior to Takumi he was Managing Director of Spotify UK, Ireland and Benelux where he spent seven years helping to drive growth. Adam has been integral to Takumi’s expansion into the US, with the launch of its new office and team in New York.

Since its founding, Takumi has worked with over 900 brands across 2,000 campaigns and boasts an industry leading client retention rate. As CEO, Adam will spearhead this growth, focusing on the expansion of Takumi into other markets. He will continue to drive exceptional customer service and retain long term partnership deals by working with the team to build additional services and functions to the platform.

Mats Stigzelius, one of the original founders has moved into the role of Executive Chairman.

New Chief Revenue Officer

Cécile Douillard joins Takumi from her previous role as MD at Quantum Advertising leading UK & International market expansion, to replace Adam as CRO. Cécile has 18 years of experience in digital advertising across technology and data along with 14 years in sales management, including senior roles at IPONWEB, proCec, Adslot, Acceleration, Experian Hitwise.

Cécile will be responsible for driving Takumi’s revenue strategy globally and EMEA in the pipline, and she will be tasked with establishing new revenue streams to maintain Takumi’s position as the leading Instagram influencer marketing service.

Both Adam and Cecile will be based from Takumi’s London office.

Commenting on the appointments, Adam says: “I joined Takumi during a period of huge growth for the company. It’s been a pleasure working with such a dynamic team and our influencer partners to build on this, and it’s an honour to lead the next phase of development.

“The influencer marketing industry is also growing rapidly as influencer marketing features more and more prominently among brands’ overall media mix. We’ve evolved into a fully-managed influencer marketing service; our clients are choosing to stay with us and commit to longer campaigns, while many others are entering the fold for the first time. It’s an interesting time for the industry and Takumi will continue to drive its development through smart anti-fraud technology and championing productive relationships between brands and Instagram creators.”
Commenting on her new role, Cécile says: “Influencer marketing is a vibrant, new media vertical and I’m excited to be a part of it. Helping businesses achieve their true potential is a passion of mine, and I can’t wait to put my expertise towards enhancing Takumi’s existing revenue streams and developing new ones.”
