MPG Media Contacts buys WebNarrative

June 16, 2011

UK media agency MPG Media Contacts has bought web specialist WebNarrative (previously known as TMG) for an undisclosed sum.

MPG Media Contacts said the acquisition will allow it to provide a fully integrated service across every digital discipline.
The acquisition builds on their extension of services through the previous acquisition of mobile agency Mobext and the recent launch of specialist social brand, Socialyse.
The WebNarrative team is headed by web veterans Segun Ogunsheye and Craig McCulloch who have for over 15 years been architecting, designing and building user centred websites and web based technical solutions.
Their team have a vast amount of expertise in transactional and complex data driven websites, corporate portals and web based technical applications.
WebNarrative takw an ‘evidence based approach’, in which they deliver through four integrated disciplines: user behavioural research, evaluation & testing, informational & interaction design, visual design & accessibility, technical architecture, build & hosting.
This acquisition further accelerates MPG Media Contacts transition in to a full service marketing organization.
Paul Frampton, Managing Director at MPG Media Contacts, said: “WebNarrative’s skills compliment our excellence in the digital space and provide our clients with a full service digital offering which greatly extends our ability to optimise on-site as well as off-site and thus maximise conversion for our clients.
This latest acquisition is part of our strategy to evolve from a media agency in to a marketing services organisation. We want to solve our client’s problems under one roof.”
Segun Ogunsheye, Head of Web Operations, WebNarrative, added: “Through understanding our clients’ website business goals and the needs of their customers we are able to create and implement a coherent website strategy that delivers improved engagement, ease of use, stickiness, revenue and recommendation.”
Segun established Soft Options Ltd, one of the earliest web agencies in 1993, which then became part of MCA Communication Group. Together Craig and Segun have championed an ‘evidenced based approach’ to designing and building websites and have delivered web based solutions for brands in both the private and public sectors.
