Txtlocal allow customers to design mobile websites for free

April 4, 2011

Txtlocal have launched a new product that enables users to build and execute websites specifically built for the small screens of mobile phones. The ‘Mobile Web’ product can be used alongside conventional mobile messaging, and for the first time ever Txtlocal are offering it to customers to build themselves at no cost.

Txtlocal Managing Director Darren Daws said “Mobile Web can be used in conjunction with text messaging to add more content and detail to your message. By simply adding a hyperlink to a standard text message you have the ability to take the reader to a mobile web page or site that is designed to appear perfectly on any handset. We are extremely proud to have developed a user friendly, bespoke tool which diversifies the range of possibilities our customers can achieve with mobile marketing and communications.”
There are a variety of ways in which businesses can capitalise on this ground breaking new product, which gives any business of any size the ability to send more informative, vibrant and colourful marketing and communication direct to people’s handsets, for just the cost of a standard text message.
Daws explains “Take a typical email campaign for example. Businesses can literally replace a traditional email campaign and use Mobile Web instead, to achieve better response rates. The beauty of Mobile Web is that marketing campaigns can be sent directly to the palm of people’s hands, and unlike email which often go straight to junk folders, have a very low chance of being deleted without being read. We truly believe this will revolutionise the way we communicate via mobile, as it closes the gap between the marketing activities we can do on a PC versus what we can achieve via mobile.”
The email campaign example is just one way that businesses can use Mobile Web. There is a plethora of ways that organisations can use Mobile Web to achieve objectives, and the list of possible uses are endless. Whether it be a menu for a restaurant, fixture list for a local football club, events listing for a charity, customer surveys or online brochures, it is all possible using this new innovative online tool. Other advantages of Mobile Web include free reporting, where
Txtlocal customers can see how many people have gone through to view their web page, customers can also send scheduled mobile web links via SMS, and as Txtlocal’s Mobile Web tool is optimised specifically for the phone it means that the service will work on any internet enabled phone for extremely small download costs.
The Mobile Web tool can be accessed through any Txtlocal customer account, where users can create and design their own web page with the ability to upload images, tables, logo’s and graphics. While this service is completely free for users developing sites themselves, Txtlocal also offer a competitively rated design service to build sites for those who need additional support.
