Méliuz and Pepper have joined forces to launch Pelando.com.br, Brazils first social commerce platform.
Pelando lets shoppers to discuss and vote on special offers, deals, freebies and promotions, helping them discover the best price for specific products in a quick and easy way – via desktop and mobile.
Advertising companies benefit from the community’s high affinity to buy products online.
The platform is free-of-charge for consumers. Advertisers are charged on a CPC/CPO-basis and already include Submarino, Netshoes and Ricardo Eletro.
Israel Salmen, Ofli Guimarães and their Belo Horizonte-based team will run the operations, including sales, marketing and community management. The Pepper.com team provides the technical platform and assists the Méliuz team with advice in all aspects of UX, UI and community building with both finding commonality to enable merchants to run international advertising campaigns across other members of the Pepper.com group.
The partnership with Méliuz is Pepper.com’s second expansion this Autumn, following the deal with DesiDime.com. The Indian social commerce network joined the group in early September. Now active in eleven countries on three continents, Pepper.com positions itself as a central contact for companies that want to run international social commerce campaigns. Partnering with Pepper.com, advertisers are able to reach out to more than 25 million smart shoppers.
