The startups have received £50K in funding and will participate in a sixteen-week intensive programme in London. At the end of 16 weeks, five of the nine companies will be selected to receive a follow-on investment of £100K and eight months extended coaching from Collider.
Jan Isakovic, founder at Storesense, one of the selected startups, said: “The Storesense team is excited to have joined Collider because we believe it can help guide our next steps both when it comes to building our product and company and in helping us establish crucial partnerships with brands. As a startup from small Slovenia, we’re especially excited to start building our business in London and the UK in 2015.”
Rose Lewis, Co-founder of Collider says; “We are really excited about this year’s cohort of startups – they reflect the current trends in Madtech and should offer our brand partners fantastic opportunities to understand, engage with and sell to their customers in new and innovative ways. Our startups will get the opportunity to pitch to some of the most influential marketing and advertising people in the UK and we look forward to seeing the benefits this will bring to the founders.”
The first 16 weeks of the Collider programme, divided into three sections, Immersion, Discovery, and Execution, includes:
• Weekly workshops presented by thought-leaders in the entrepreneurial and Madtech industries;
• Weekly individual coaching sessions with one dedicated Collider coach;
• Multiple ‘Speed-dating’ sessions with senior brand executives of Collider’s brand partners;
• The chance to present their progress at a cumulative Demo Day, April 22nd, in front of mentors, investors and senior executive marketing and advertising professionals in London.
The founders of the Class of 2015 are from Hungary, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, and the UK.
David Szabo, Co-founder of Brandvee, a product aimed at identifying and rewarding individuals who share content via private messaging, says: “We checked every accelerator and put Collider on top of our hit list. When we joined the programme, we literally left behind everything, to move to the heart of Europe’s startup ecosystem. With Collider, we learn, build and progress faster and better than we ever did before.”
Mike Litman, co-founder of Burst, a video analytics product for social media, says: “Collider have assembled the very best Madtech minds in this space for the 2015 programme. Burst now has the funding, coaching and connections to accelerate growth plans for our unique micro-content analytics product.”
This is the third accelerator programme for Collider. They have partnered with 13 brands and, for the first time, agencies to work with the Class of 2015. The programme is focused on fostering meaningful relationships with large brands in the UK, as well as creating sustainable, revenue generating businesses in the UK.
