Big data has quickly established itself as key to enabling the next great leaps in marketing evolution, but the industry is hampered buy a lack of take-up as myths about its pros and cons persist. The DMA Data Council has teamed with a panel of practitioners from the Email, Mobile & Connected and Social Media Councils to shatter these myths in one infographic.


Whether it’s predicting new trends or understanding patterns of consumers’ purchasing habits, for marketers, big data promises a new era of perfectly targeted messaging for the modern, connected consumer.
And yet uptake within the one-to-one marketing industry has be curiously slow. According to the DMA’s Data Council pervasive myths and misunderstandings stand as the main barriers to entry for many one-to-one marketers.
