April 9, 2014

Global mobile advertising network AppFlood has launched a mobile Real-Time Bidding (RTB) platform in China.

The platform is design to offer a way to use RTB technology to connect publishers and advertisers to the growing mobile advertising marketplace in China.
Based in Beijing, San Francisco and London, AppFlood has more than 100 employees and growing. It is one of the fastest growing mobile advertising networks with over 9,000 Android developers reaching more than 145 million monthly active users, and delivering more than 100,000 daily app installs.
To help ensure the fast delivery of AppFlood’s mobile ads through its mobile RTB platform, PapayaMobile, leveraging the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform, has used an innovative and cost-effective AWS server architecture to support AppFlood’s RTB infrastructure.
Called Amazon DynamoDB, the server architecture allows AppFlood to ensure that advertising is distributed to and from anywhere in the world without high latency issues often created by cross-continent mobile ad delivery.
“We are glad that PapayaMobile is building up AppFlood’s latest RTB services for global developers and mobile ad buyers on Amazon DynamoDB,” says Alex Yung, Corporate Vice President and Managing Director, AWS China. “DynamoDB’s great performance and extremely low latency help PapayaMobile to deliver mobile ads quickly and globally, and can easily scale up to meet large volume real-time transaction needs.”
“With the launch of AppFlood’s complete RTB platform there is finally a simple but effective way to bridge the gap between the East and West, meaning that truly global campaigns are finally possible,” says Si Shen, CEO and founder of PapayaMobile. “As international brands and advertisers continue to spend ever more on mobile, AppFlood’s RTB solution will help meet the tremendous demand from Chinese advertisers for global inventory, and vice versa.”
