Mark Middlemas has been named as the new Director of Communications, UK & Europe at advertising technology company, RadiumOne. Mark was previously Director of Marketing and Business Development, IPG Mediabrands UK.
RadiumOne builds intelligent software that automates media buying, making big data actionable for marketers and connects them to their next customer. Middlemas will drive RadiumOne’s entire communications programme forward across UK & Europe in line with the vision of founder, online advertising pioneer Gurbaksh Chahal. One of Middlemas’ key responsibilities will be to position RadiumOne’s partnership programme with large and small agencies from across the marketing spectrum. Mark becomes RadiumOne’s 50th European employee, a number reached in just over two years. . He will report directly to MD Rupert Staines, based in the European head office in London.
With a career spanning 18 years, Middlemas has successfully led pioneering brand teams for the likes of Coca-Cola GB, Bacardi-Martini, Xbox, Telegraph Media Group and MasterCard whilst at UM. A positive force for change, his most recent marketing role helped establish the agency’s Curiosity Works positioning and deliver unheralded new business & Awards success. This proven track record delivers the high quality attributes required to direct the future of a pioneering young organisation.

Middlemas’ appointment follows that of digital ad veteran Eric Bader to the position of Chief Marketing Officer in June 2013. Bader joined RadiumOne from Initiative, where he was Global President and Chief Strategy Officer.
