With the predicted growth of mobile devices, a website which is responsive and accessible on all devices is a must-have. In recent years there has been a surge in the number of business apps, but all too often this can be to the detriment of making a website functional for different devices. In other words, businesses are keen to adopt business apps but are failing to make their websites accessible via mobile devices.
In this mobile age, customers have an abundance of information around them and so their expectations of digital experiences are greater than ever. Therefore, in order to generate a higher level of user engagement, interactions which people can enjoy on any device must be delivered.
When it comes to accessibility, far too often there is a belief that a compromise must be made between accessibility and an attractive design, but this is by no means the case. An accessible site does not mean text only websites, monochrome designs and static content. After all, accessibility is a key part of user experience.
Great online experiences should feel engaging, intuitive and easy. Whatever the device, whatever the accessibility needs, expectations should be met by delivering an experience as meaningful and enjoyable as possible to the online user.
