Lexus appoints Reevoo to boost social media

February 20, 2013

Lexus has appointed Revoo as the car brand looks to boost its social media tools.

Reevoo will provide verified customer reviews for use on the premium car brand’s consumer website.
The customer-generated reviews will complement the existing Lexus social media platforms, allowing online conversations in real-time, and help prospective buyers find the information they need.
Richard Balshaw, Director of Lexus UK said: “Other people’s opinions are valuable when it comes to buying a new car. It is also important to be able to respond to any concerns or questions. Giving potential customers access to genuine opinions and experiences, submitted by existing Lexus owners and independently sourced is a great way to help them.”
Verified customer reviews supplied by Reevoo will help prospective Lexus buyers learn what existing customers think about their car. This includes scores attributed to different features such as build quality, comfort and fuel economy.
The ‘Ask an Owner’ feature will also allow potential customers to put questions directly to verified owners and receive first-hand answers. This can help build customer confidence in the benefits of advanced Lexus technology such as its highly refined and efficient Lexus Hybrid Drive full hybrid system.
Lexus expects to see a boost in website traffic and attract new customers as some of the customer-generated content will be embedded in the Lexus UK site. This will be regularly refreshed helping to secure maximum SEO benefit.
All the Reevoo solutions offered to Lexus will be delivered in the cloud as a fully managed service, relieving Lexus of the need to allocate any dedicated IT equipment or resources.
Richard Balshaw added: “We wanted a cost-effective and easy way of delivering this service quickly and in line with our existing in-house expertise.”
Steve Hurn, CEO of Reevoo, said: “We are delighted to help Lexus customers make informed and better choices. Opinions, comments and answers from real owners have proved to be a key point in turning potential clients into actual customers, since people trust other people more than a simple product description. This is true in all the markets and particularly in the automotive industry, where people want to be reassured they are making the right choice.”
