E.ON revamps website in digital push

Energy supplier E.ON is embarking on a new digital drive to unify its websites under one platform, in partnership with agency LBi.

LBi conducted consumer focus groups and extensive research with E.ON stakeholders across all departments, to better understand the key issues and requirements around E.ONs web presence.
The new site, which is aimed at both residential and business customers, is designed to make it easier for people to manage their E.ON account online, whilst also providing broader information about E.ON as a business and its sustainability initiatives.
The launch of E.ONs new website comes as the regulator, Ofgem, is calling for the energy industry to become more transparent, and to help its customers make more informed and better decisions.
The site sees a step change in how E.ON aims to engage with its audience, as it continues with plans to reset its relationship with customers under the direction of the new CEO, Tony Cocker.
Pardeep Duggal, Head of Digital at E.ON said: “The new online brand experience weve created in partnership with LBi is a big step forward in our mission to make a real difference to our customers lives. Were really pleased to be launching something which makes it easier for people to manage their account and understand more about E.ON as a company.”
Simon Gill, Executive Creative Director at LBi said: “At times, the world of energy can seem complex and hard to navigate. We collaborated with E.ON to create a new digital experience which explains and demystifies the bigger issues of sustainability as well as making day-to-day management of your energy account simpler. This new web platform paves the way for us to introduce more ways to make things better for E.ON customers.”
