Asda Money launches UK website for financial services

July 18, 2012

Supermarket giant Asda has teamed u[p with Lbi to launch Asda Money, the new online home for Asda financial products and services.

The site acts as a platform for Asda customers to apply for a range of financial products including credit card, motor, home and pet insurance, life insurance, travel insurance and travel money.
The launch marks a 10 year milestone for Asda Finance, which will now be known as Asda Money. It also coincides with the launch of the new Asda Money Credit Card (which offers cashback, not points).
To complete the build, LBi worked in partnership with key Asda stakeholders and partners, and assembled a blended team of developers, user experience specialists and creative designers to deliver a website that accurately reflects the supermarket giants brand values and customer segments. Features of the new site include tools such as a credit card cashback calculator and a currency rate ticker. Since the travel insurance products are most widely viewed via mobile devices, this entire section is fully optimised for viewing via mobile browsers.
Kirsty Ward, Head of Asda Money, said: Asda has built a reputation for delivering value and quality to our customers which is as relevant today as ever. Asda Money has worked closely with LBi to create a website that meets these values by making our financial products and services transparent and understood by everyone.
Abi Ellis, Creative Director at LBi, said: Our aim was to help Asda customers to get even more value every day this time, from Asda financial products. Our blended team worked to create a simple design which helps people get to grip with the products at a glance. We’ve made it easy for people to dig deeper into the detail if they wish. Or choose to apply in an instant.
