WWE appoints Web TV to monetise UK website video content

May 24, 2011

WWE has appointed Web TV to exclusively represent its UK online video content; bringing complementary TV advertisers to the entertainment broadcaster’s web audience.

Web TV won exclusive rights to represent WWE’s UK video content. WWE is a global media and entertainment brand with a website attracting 12.8 million unique visitors per month and over 1.5million video streams in the UK alone. www.wwe.com features all the latest news and exclusive video offerings to fans 365 days a year.
Current video pre-roll content includes a campaign for the 20th Century Fox cinema release Cedar Rapids and Disney DVD TRON: Legacy.
Dominic Hayes, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for WWE commented: “WWE’s online video content is a great attraction to the vast number of WWE fans that visit the site all year round. The appointment of Web TV offers an exciting proposition for advertisers to communicate to the UK WWE fan base in a trusted and engaging environment.”
Web TV is the UK’s largest premium online video advertising network – recently acquired by Collective, a leading service provider of media and technology solutions for display and video advertising.
“We are presenting a huge opportunity for advertisers to reach a large audience among visitors to the WWE website,” said Jamie Estrin, MD of Web TV. “This is a great fit for us and will allow brands to engage with their audiences in an environment that offers the most impact and opportunity.”
