The advisory group includes technology and service providers who support end-to-end content delivery as well as a wide range of video and audio on demand content providers.
The Capablue technical team will be contributing to YouView’s development of technical processes and guidelines in respect of content and service delivery.
Capablue was selected to join the group following an ‘expressions of
interest’ process run last Autumn. This followed the launch of Capablue
connected, its fully customisable portal platform for connected TVs, which is used by broadcasters and content owners including STV and Playboy TV.
The company recently won the Samsung Smart TV Challenge for its recommendation TV app.
Tom Cape, managing director of Capablue, said: “We are very excited to be a part of the development of YouView. Our appointment to the advisory group is testament to the expertise of our technical team. Our connected platform provides a seamless single solution for broadcasters covering all TV platforms.”
