Christmas gifts: Women still on top

British women start their Christmas shopping well before the men, according to a new online poll.

The study, from shopping search engine Twenga, found 61% of Women starting shopping before December.
45% of men, on the other hand, do wait until December before getting their Christmas shopping underway.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, 34% of British men say they only spend a few days buying gifts for their family and friends, while 33% of British women say they spend more than one week finding all the gifts they plan to give on 25th December.

Methodology
Twenga asked over 3,000 European Internet users about their Christmas spending budgets for this year and how they intend to use it. The study by Novamétrie was conducted online for Twenga between 27th September and 7th October 2010 using a representative sample of 3013 European Internet users from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
