November 17, 2010

Best Buy has launched a Facebook shop for UK web users following on from the opening of its online store on November 4th.

The service will let UK consumers browse thousands of technology products across the range without having to leave Facebook.
The site will enable customers to search by product category, viewing the latest and greatest products that are added to Best Buy’s electronics range, as well as search recommended Christmas gifts for ‘him’ and ‘her’ and look at lists of products which have recently had significant price drops, all of which will be updated daily.
A Best Buy UK spokesperson said: “Our customers tell us that they like the way we listen and respond to their views online, whether in our community forums on www.bestbuy.co.uk, via our Twitter feed or on our Facebook and You Tube pages. We’re so excited to be giving our customers another new way to buy technology online.”
Best Buy is the first technology retailer in the UK to run a navigable shop on Facebook which will also allow people to share products and wishlists with friends before clicking through to buy at Bestbuy.co.uk.
