To promote the 1 Series, Slice suggested creating a destination site for young, urban, savvy customers.
Working alongside PR agency Slice and Emap, Airlock have designed, built, and developed the digital approach for 1Off, a website offering bite-sized reviews of handpicked experiences in UK cities.
The site includes celebrity interviews and podcasts, local reviews of little-known gems, and thriving community forums. The site is designed to be as engaging, practical and interactive as possible, with print-ready maps and listings, easily navigable content and customisable personal profile pages.
The site can be integrated with Google Maps, which allow users to get a bird's eye view of their citys' treasures, as well as find their nearest BMW dealer to book a test drive with the 1 Series.
Slice PR has managed the overall project, with Emap contributing content for the 1Off website. The publisher is also promoting the campaign via some of its print titles, such as Grazia and Arena, and its websites and radio stations.
Chris Mair, Strategy Director at Airlock, said: "This is a great project for Airlock. The multi-discipline team, drawn from Slice PR and Emap, worked well together to deliver an innovative campaign. The digital elements work brilliantly, with Google Maps being practically deployed for the user's benefit, as well as being fun and an excellent deployment of the Google technology."
1off.com is the latest in Airlock's high profile campaign launches, which include Motorola On Tour, Diesel Heaven and the new Andy Murray official site.
