Video viral of the week: Vileda lets punters bet on ‘Baby Crawling Championship’

April 28, 2015

Vileda has launched a social media campaign on Facebook and Twitter, encouraging viewers to place bets on which baby will win in their crawl across a freshly mopped floor. See why it’s our video viral of the week below…

In a series of four videos, the household cleaning brand will document the ‘Vileda Baby Crawling Championship’. To promote the campaign, Vileda is running a competition with the opportunity to win one of ten 100°C Hot Spray Mops, as seen in the video.

Viewers can also purchase a mop and receive a free cleaning kit as part of the promotion.
The light-hearted videos initially hype up each of the four contestants, including a press conference where the babies trash-talk their rivals (see below).

The campaign will conclude in two weeks’ time when the babies battle to cross the finish line.
Emma Crosland, trade & digital marketing manager at Vileda, said: “The 100°C Hot Spray Mop is a totally new concept to the market so it’s crucial that we create awareness and educate consumers in order to make it a success. The video campaign follows on from our recent TV advert, and shows a softer, fun side to the brand – cleaning can make you smile!”
