Video viral of the week: Mars teams with BuzzFeed for ‘cat vs mouse’ pet app

March 25, 2015

Mars Petcare has teamed up with BuzzFeed to create a new campaign promoting its latest ‘Snacky Mouse’ cat toy. See why it’s our video viral of the week below…

Mars Petcare, owner of the Temptations cat treat brand, worked with Buzzfeed to create a game, ‘Snacky Mouse Rumble’ to promote the its new cat toy.

“We know that cats love playtime as much as they love the tantalizing taste of Temptations cat treats – and, we wanted to create a product that combines both of these passions,” said Melodie Bolin, Temptations Brand Manager. “The Snacky Mouse Toy makes treat time even more playful, creating the ultimate game of cat and mouse!”

The launch is supported by a new marketing campaign that brings the “Cat vs. Mouse” concept to life. The online video comprised of live action clips of cats “boxing” the new toy and triumphantly enjoying cat treats.

The product launch also includes digital media, public relations and in-store marketing efforts to further demonstrate how the new toy makes playtime more delectable for cats, one treat at a time.

BuzzFeed began building a games team last year, in order to create interactive materials –both branded and unbranded – for the site.
