Google Glass gets first video user guide

May 3, 2013

Google have launched the first video user guide for their latest project Glass, revealing some of the upcoming devices key functions.

The wearable technology contains a battery, tiny computer, camera and a wireless link and can shoot video, take pictures and broadcast whatever the user sees.
The how-to video gives the clearest indication yet of how Glass will work in everyday life, where it can be used ‘hands free’ to make video calls, look up maps and translate foreign languages.
First previewed in video last April, Project Glass was first shown off in detail in February, after Google released the first detailed glimpse of how its user interface would actually look.
Google is encouraging app developers to write ‘Glassware’ for ther devices, and users have posted pictures taken with their own units. No indication, however, is given when the camera is recording, prompting security and privacy concerns.
Glass is expected to go on sale later this year.
