The Entertainer uses Shutl for same day deliveries

April 26, 2013

Toy retailer The Entertainer has partnered with Shutl, giving customers the option to select same-day deliveries for website purchases.

The new service is available via a software extension, developed by neoworks, based on the hybris Commerce Suite.
Shutl is a branded web service enabling online shoppers to get what they want – either within minutes or at a time of their choice.
The online service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and allows customers to watch their deliveries, available whenever an Entertainer store is open, shuttling towards them in real-time on a GPS enabled map.
The neoworks module is available through the hybris Extend marketplace, and provides instant access to fully certified partner applications and extension modules. This enabled The Entertainer to quickly and easily integrate Shutl into its online customer experience.
“Shutl offers The Entertainer’s customers a speed of delivery unrivalled in the Toy retail industry. Building on our store estate and multi-channel infrastructure this new service cements our position as the country’s leading online Toy Retailer.” Duncan Grant, Director of Multichannel at The Entertainer.
“This is the most sophisticated Shutl implementation to date, setting a new benchmark in online customer experience. It’s a case study in how multi-channel retailers can leverage their key assets to delight customers with an unbeatable proposition. We are very excited to partner with Duncan and his team to help give The Entertainer’s customers what they want, when they want it.” Tom Allason, Founder & CEO, Shutl.
“This implementation improves The Entertainer’s multi-channel offer, allowing them to gain a competitive advantage by delivering an unparalleled customer experience.” Nigel Atkinson, Director & Co Founder, neoworks.
Since 2009 neoworks has been The Entertainer’s strategic multi-channel partner, during which time the retailer has achieved over 30% year on year growth online and was awarded the 2011 Best Online Toy Retailer by The British Toy & Hobby Association. The Entertainer plans to continue to grow the business significantly online over the next five years, both in the UK and internationally.
