Carlsberg launches social media platform in 44 countries

April 11, 2013

Enterprise software provider Falcon Social has completed the rollout of its social media marketing platform across 44 countries for brewery group, Carlsberg.

Falcon Social let Carlsberg create, launch and measure the performance of its social media campaigns and coordinate all its social marketing programs from a single, centralised SaaS platform.
Jakob Kalkar, Group Media & Digital Director, Carlsberg, said: “The platform provides a complete view of our campaigns and the rich conversations happening across geographies and social channels, which is essential for building our diverse brands and for engaging with our consumers locally. It helps us to make sure we go out with the right messages at the right time, to make sense of analytics from digital and social channels and to gauge how our campaigns are performing in real-time.
“The implementation went smoothly and the ongoing support and guidance from the team at Falcon Social has been very helpful. It provides us with the reassurance that our global marketing network can deliver our strategic objectives.”
The platform enables Carlsberg’s in-house marketing teams and external agencies to coordinate efforts and execute social marketing programmes more efficiently; maximizing positive content, removing duplication of work and responding to customer feedback, good or bad, in a timely and consistent manner.
Ulrik Bo Larsen, Chief Executive and Founder, Falcon Social, adds: “For large enterprises, managing social media has become a complex and time consuming task. Social media has enormous potential to win customers and drive business but can also damage or even destroy a brand.
“Our work with Carlsberg shows how scalable and powerful our platform is. It covers the whole lifecycle of campaigns from strategy to execution and performance monitoring and offers a superior visualisation based user experience (UX). This ensures the platform meets enterprises’ unique requirements and gives marketers the tools to easily manage and make the most of social media.”
