Video ‘key to Black Friday e-commerce conversions’

October 30, 2018

E-commerce conversion rates could be boosted by as much as 85% through effective use of video, according to new research from Viddyoze.

Ahead of Black Friday, a study from automated video automation specialist Viddyoze has revealed that businesses which sell online could see conversion rates soar through effective use of quality video content. Video has become a vital conversion tool for e-commerce businesses in the absence of physical products as more stores adopt a “digital-first” retail offering.

This sentiment is echoed by consumers, with 44% claiming that they would purchase more products from an e-commerce website that features product videos.

Viddyoze has introduced an online marketplace for pay-per-render animations as part of its ongoing rollout, which allows individuals and businesses to easily create and use studio-grade video animation at the click of a mouse.

Boasting over 1,000 animation templates, the newly-launched Marketplace is a one-stop shop for creatives and businesses of all shapes and sizes. Users can either purchase individual animations or opt for a discounted monthly payment model. Through the Viddyoze platform, users can create fully-customisable logo stingers, video intros and outros, lower thirds, social network video animations and other advanced animation elements within a user-friendly browser interface.

Viddyoze, co-founded by entrepreneurs David Chamberlain, Jamie Garside and Ajay Sahota, is based in Preston and is currently used by over 100,000 individuals and businesses worldwide, including major clients such as Sony, Tesla and Vodafone. The company has ambitious growth plans, aiming to become a £500m business within the next couple of years, as well as the global leader in automated video content and animation.

There are also a number of other packages on offer, including Viddyoze Business, which provides a solution for agencies and businesses that create large amounts of video content – and Viddyoze Academy, which provides over 200 professional video tutorials to teach people how to become an expert videographer.

David Chamberlain, co-founder at Viddyoze, said: “Ahead of Black Friday – the busiest shopping period of the year – retailers need innovative ways to engage and convert customers in a saturated online marketplace. We believe that top-quality, professional video – a proven, and growing, conversion tool – should be accessible to all, which is why we have created Viddyoze Marketplace so people can download high quality animations for as little as £12 ($15).

“In the digital business landscape, and retail in particular, if a business is not using video effectively, they’re losing money, and we believe that no business should be excluded from offering this service during a period in which conversions and sales are so crucial. Our move to a marketplace model achieves this by allowing us to offer a far more tailored, bespoke service which better suits all of our customers.”
