The recent study conducted by Signs asked nearly 1,000 Americans about their purchasing habits and shopping preferences.
Though 85% of Americans prefer to shop for groceries in-store, the study finds that products that are not daily necessities are mostly shopped online.
Notable Findings:
• Millennials Got Social! The Millennial generation is twice as likely as Baby Boomers to use daily deals websites and social media marketplaces
• Pinterest and Facebook have a chance — nearly 1 in 5 Americans admit to using a social media marketplace as their preferred method of shopping
• Nearly 70% of people shop online to save time and money, perhaps social media marketplaces can use this to their advantage when stepping into e-commerce?
