To introduce Puma Fragrances BodySprays, L’Oréal is working with French football star Antione Griezmann, with a YouTube video that spoof’s his famous goal celebration.
The French video campaign, created by agency Buzzman, makes fun of the “shaky hand’s” gesture that Griezmann makes after scoring a goal.
The video applies the move to a number of offbeat situations, such as hairdressing and piloting a jetfighter, to help people on their first dates.
It make the point that the Euro 2016 golden boot winner might not always be there to help you on a first date, but the Puma deodorant will be a good substitute.
Produced by Iconoclast and directed by Ernest Desumbila, this surprising and offbeat digital film will be aired online on November 25th.
It complements the new brand strategy in France, launched last October, with a TV film starring Antoine Griezmann and Usain Bolt.
