Stack Overflow has released an infographic which includes a detailed report on how to understand, build, source and manage the developer hiring process.
The infographic reveals some interesting insights into the developer hiring process:
• Less than 13% of UK developers are actively looking for a job which means there is fierce competition from other businesses seeking top tech talent
• 96.7% of developers in the UK are gainfully employed – but only 31% claim to love their jobs
• Salary is the central motivation for 63.4% of UK developers when they look for a new job
• Over a quarter (25.7%) of UK developers work remotely and jobs with remote working opportunities receive the most applications
