The picture messaging app has been angling to develop shareable music videos on their Snap Channel, and Madonna is the first marquee name they’ve landed.

The video, for the song Living for Love off the album Rebel Heart, premiered on Snapchat’s brand new “Discover” channel. In keeping with Snapchat’s self-destructing ethos, it will be deleted from the app 24 hours later.

Directed by JACK, a French duo who have made adverts for Ikea, the video is a relatively straightforward performance clip featuring Madonna in a matador’s outfit dancing with a group of men in masks and bull’s horns.

Its simplicity – particularly in contrast with Madonna’s previous videos – suggests that it is designed to be viewed on mobile.

However, the technology wasn’t simple enogugh for some, and Madonna needed to tweet instructions to help some of her followers find the video on Snapchat.
