Amaze creates Facebook app for LateRooms

January 26, 2012

Discount hotels specialist LateRooms.co has appointed full service marketing and technology company, Amaze, to create a Facebook application (app) that socialises its hotel booking process.

The appointment was made following a competitive 3-way pitch.
The application will tie into LateRooms.com’s new above the line campaign and allows users to create a ‘Book It’ list of destinations and activities they would like to experience, such as a
weekend away at the Grand National or stag do in Rome.
The app, which will be available at facebook.com/laterooms, will facilitate the sharing of trip ideas amongst friends, who in turn can build their own travel plans using the app. It will serve as a great way to inspire users to generate destination ideas, and encourage interaction between fellow users and the brand on Facebook.
Rich Kemp, Social Media Manager at LateRooms.com, commented, “The team at Amaze really impressed us with its creativity and innovative thinking during the pitch process. Linking the app to our website and appropriate hotel offers will increase conversations amongst Facebook users and drive traffic to the LateRooms.com booking engine.”
Natalie Gross, CEO of Amaze, commented, “It is always exciting to be appointed by a young and dynamic company that isn’t afraid of trying new ideas. Using our insight into the way people interact with social media, we were able to map out a bank of ideas that met LateRooms.com’ brief, both creatively and in terms of the business requirement.”
