Flirtomatic, the UK's leading mobile and online flirting service, has announced its first international move, with a launch of its service in Germany.

Not only is Germany one of Europe's largest markets but Flirtomatic has partnered with SevenOne Intermedia to launch into the German market, the multimedia arm of European broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Group.  The Group owns Germany's largest family of commercial TV channels and will promote Flirtomatic via its TV, web and mobile platforms of ProSieben, Germany's leading entertainment TV channel for young people.

Flirtomatic's online service has long been available worldwide, with 20 per cent of its users being international. The Germany launch is the first move to extend the mobile offering beyond the UK and to offer German users the same features as UK customers. In addition, the launch will enable UK and German users to flirt with each other via their mobile. A German language version has been developed specifically for the market and Flirtomatic will be supporting local users with German customer care.

The move comes at an exciting time for the mobile social network space. As the UK's clear market leader in terms of user base, partnerships and financing, the German launch provides a solid platform for Flirtomatic to extend its leadership beyond the UK and into Europe, a rapidly growing market for mobile internet usage as flat rate data packages become standard.

Mark Curtis, CEO of Flirtomatic said, "We're thrilled to be launching in Germany with ProSiebenSat.1, who are clearly a great partner. We are particularly pleased by how quickly we have been able to launch. It has taken us three months from decision to rollout and we know that we can reduce this further, as we launch throughout Europe. It's exciting to be taking our first steps into Europe and overcoming the challenges of going global with a mobile internet service."

Manfred Neumann, Head of Mobile SevenOne Intermedia, added, "We are delighted to be joining forces with Flirtomatic. The innovation and growth of the service is remarkable. There is no other European based cross platform flirting company in its league: its excellent customer service, unrivalled user experience, planned expansion strategy and future innovations make Flirtomatic the right partner for us. The Germans are just as keen on flirting as the British and together we will become the leader in the German market."
