The other agencies to win the Best of Breed accolade from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) were traditional advertising agencies BBH, Wieden +Kennedy and media agency OMD.
Rory Sutherland, chairman of the IPA Creative Forum and vice-chairman and creative director at OgilvyOne Worldwide, said: “The BOBs are important to the industry as they give us a rare chance to reward consistency of work rather than just singularities - and without confining our praise to just one department or a few individuals.”
Glue London was crowned best digital agency by the IPA and commended for its work on clients T-Mobile, COI, Unilever Bestfoods, Royal Marines and Virgin Money.
Proximity’s work on VW, TV Licensing Campaign, Eurostar, Masterfoods, Lever Fabergé (Persil) and Royal Mail also received recognition and the company was named best direct marketing/integrated agency.
