Best Buy to promote Napster in US

Best Buy is to promote Roxio's Napster as its 'leading digital music service' and market a co-branded version of the music download site through Bestbuy.com. The US electronics retailer, the country's largest, said it will receive up to $10m in Roxio stock over the life of the 'multiyear' pact. In the UK, Napster has announced that Robert Smith, frontman for The Cure, is to join Napster UK as its first guest programming director from Monday, June 28, 2004 for one week. Smith has selected some of his favourite records for consumers listen to in full-length for free.
