Home renovation site grows to 2 million users

July 23, 2015

Home renovation and design platform Houzz has grown its UK community to 2 million monthly unique users since it launched just one year ago.

The dedicated UK platform launched in July 2014 with 1 million unique users and nearly 10,000 active home renovation and design professionals. Today, the UK professional community has grown to over 25,000 active home professionals across over 60 trades.
Houzz gets more than 30 million monthly unique users, 90 percent of whom are homeowners, and over 800,000 active home professionals.

The UK launch in July 2014 marked the start of the company’s international expansion, which has continued across Europe, Australia, and into Asia. Over 45% of new Houzz users today come from outside the US, as a result of the company’s expansion efforts over the last year, compared to less than 30% in 2013.

Houzz is also announcing the roll-out out of the Houzz Professional Marketplace in the UK (Houzz Pro+), the first expansion of this programme outside the U.S.

Adi Tatarko, Houzz cofounder and CEO said, “Our mission from day one has been to deliver the best technology and experience for home renovation and design by addressing every aspect of the process, and this has been our mission in the UK, too. We’re excited to see the exceptional organic growth of our local community, and to connect British homeowners and home professionals with our community around the world. As Houzz expands internationally, the design aesthetic, talent and expertise of the UK has a major role in the global design language that Houzz is facilitating.”
