Online community network for marketers launched

A new website aiming to provide marketing professionals with their first exclusively UK-based community has launched this week.

The site gives marketers the opportunity to network with fellow UK marketing and advertising professionals.
It also provides access and contribute to user-generated content aimed at producing fresh blog content.
Members can also attend industry-related events, promoted by participants and form groups relevant to their regional and commercial backgrounds.
Launched by award-winning recruitment advertising website Only Marketing Jobs, the UK Marketing Network will offer marketing professionals the freedom to connect with peers, whilst establishing unique content.
The key difference between the new site and the others already online is that it is exclusively targeted at the UK marketing industry, and it is user-regulated.
Gemma Greaves, marketing director of the Marketing Society, said: “The UK Marketing Network is a tremendous initiative, improving the way like-minded professionals can connect and engage with each other for personal and business development.”
Site co-founder, Mark Lennox, said: “Having identified a gap in our sector for niche social communication we are pleased to already have more than 4,000 marketing professionals as members. This new website aligns with our plans to develop the most engaged marketing community in the UK.”
Subscribers to the site in June will be offered free invitations to forthcoming offline networking events run by Only Marketing Jobs.
