Premier League predictions show launches on Facebook

The first interactive Facebook show based around predicting Premier League scores launches this Friday (4 March).

Scoreboard will be hosted by Douglas Anderson – aka Dougie ‘Six Answers’ Anderson from BBC Radio 5 live’s Fighting Talk – while each week pundits and ex-pros Scott Minto and Jason Cundy battle it out between them.
Every Friday the team will preview the weekend’s Premier League action, as the pundits see who can get the most predictions right.
Fans can participate directly in the show via Facebook, by pitting their wits against the pundits and playing the accompanying online Scoreboard game.
Over the course of the last ten weeks of the season, Scoreboard will reveal who knows most when it comes to predicting results – the pundits or the fans; viewers can make their own predictions, play with friends and leave comments on the games, with the best appearing on screen.
During the show, both pundits will compete directly against the Crowd by comparing their predictions to the average forecasts of all the online players.
The hour-long show will be broadcast live on Facebook every Friday from The Hospital in London’s Covent Garden, and will be available to watch – both in full and in match-by-match preview clips – at apps.facebook.com/scoreboardgame.
Scoreboard pundits Scott Minto and Jason Cundy will be familiar to all football fans: Scott played 350+ league games in a career that included West Ham, Charlton, Chelsea and Benfica before becoming a regular face on Sky Sports News – while Jason spent over 10 years in the English game playing for the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Ipswich before retiring in 2000 and later becoming a presenter on talkSPORT.
As well as predicting outcomes from the forthcoming weekend’s Premier League action, Scoreboard will also feature sections such as celebrity fan interviews, including the likes of Liverpool-mad actor turned stand-up comedian James Redmond and indie band Frankie & the Heartstrings.
Host Douglas Anderson said: “Everyone reckons they’re the expert when it comes to predicting football scores – and Scoreboard will give everyone a chance to see who’s best: the fans or the pundits.”
Scoreboard has been developed by Screenpop, a FremantleMedia company.
