A start-up app development agency has launched its first commercial project – a free Android app for The Guardian’s community noticeboard, www.n0tice.com.
Developed by Leeds-based Tyrell Mobile, n0tice for Android brings the n0tice experience to Android smartphones, allowing mobile users the ability to find out ‘what’s happening near you’ on the hyper local community journalism website, n0tice.com.
Users of n0tice for Android can:
• read news and n0ticeboards in the local area using GPS
• search for n0tices around the UK and beyond
• view local n0tices geo-tagged on Google Maps

Tyrell Mobile was set up by Alasdair Yeo, 33, and Duncan Scobie, 33, who won a LeedsHack competition in August ahead of 150 programmers and coders – their app impressed judges from the Guardian Media Group so much that they were awarded a contract by GMG to build an Android app.
