BIMA 2011 winners revealed: The top digital ads and agencies of the year

The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA), has announced the winners of the 2011 BIMA Awards, which were revealed at last nights awards ceremony held at super club Fabric.


Whilst the work of many agencies came up for praise the night really belonged to Profero, which won five awards including ‘Agency of The Year’.
This year’s Grand Prix went to AMV BBDO London for its innovative anti-knife campaign ‘Who Killed Deon?’, developed with the Metropolitan Police.
The campaign uses knife crime video reconstructions posted across the web and social networks, to engage the youth audience and helpraise awareness of risk of being guilty by association.
Other winners included AKQA, which took three awards for Mobile, Innovation and Social Media, Viral & PR, for its Heineken Star Player application while Endemol/Monterosa picked-up two awards for best Media & Entertainment and Multi-Platform for its Million Pound Drop Play-Along Game.

Commenting on this year’s awards, Justin Cooke, Chair of BIMA said: “The calibre of the winners and nominees of the 2011 BIMA Awards proves once again that when it comes to digital media, British talent sets the standard and leads the world.”
One thousand members of the digital industry attended the event, which also featured entertainment from acts including singing sensation Alice Russell, Guilty Pleasures and an open DJ set courtesy of Spotify, as well as drinks, food and an interactive playroom.
