Video Case Study: User Generated Digital Billboards in Israel

Prigat a leading fruit beverage company in Israel created innovative digital billboards called smile stations. Located in public areas such as train stations, Facebook fans to send real time messages to the smile stations, in the hope to make passersby smile and like the message. The walking by people could physically press the ‘like’ button on the screen to like a message. This would read the message back to the individual user who sent it on Facebook, with the users who generated the most smiles (calculated bases likes) winning prizes. There were over 10,000 messages sent on Facebook and over tens of thousands who saw the message and responded by hitting the ‘like’ button.
