AVG Technologies is offering a promotion to Zynga’s more than 34 million FarmVille.
The promotion pairs the largest global social game developer with one of the largest consumer security communities in the world, enabling players of Zynga’s games to download a one-year, one-user license to AVG PC TuneUp for $9.99, a third of the regular price.
The promotion should be welcome news to gamers, who tend to put a premium on the importance of a fully optimized PC.
The weeklong promotion, which begins Feb. 24, will allow players of FarmVille to purchase a discounted license for AVG PC Tuneup which provides PC optimization, speed and performance.
In addition, they will receive a free bi-plane crop duster with instant growth, a unique in-game virtual item only available to AVG purchasers, enabling farmers to grow crops instantly.
Gamers can access the special offer in either the FarmVille Marketplace, or by clicking a link in the FarmVille promo bar, which is present in the game at all times.
