Kleenex has continued its ‘someone needs someone’ ad campaign with this heart-warming Facebook video ad showing one 11-year old girl’s dedication towards helping dogs find homes. See why it’s our viral of the week below…

This video is part of the larger “Someone Needs One” program, in which Kleenex brand is challenging people to be more aware of overlooked, everyday opportunities to show that they care.

The documentary-style videos on Facebook.com/Kleenex highlight stories from across the nation that tap into some of the most emotional topics. These videos are just one way that we are showcasing the significant impact of a gesture of care.

Reaching out to share a story of one very special Orange County-based 11-year-old being recognised for her efforts as an animal advocate.

Emmy Perry founded nonprofit Emmy’s Hope when she was just seven-years-old and has since dedicated her weekends and hard-earned allowance money to help dogs find homes.

As Emmy says, her intent is “Saving animals, one heart at a time.” Her community thought it was time Emmy was recognized for her heart and reached out to Kleenex brand to help coordinate a very special surprise.

In her most recent visit to OC Animal Care, the brand helped gather community members and volunteers in a large-scale adoption event so that all of her furry friends, including one very special dog named Fox, would find forever homes.

Since going live, the video – online here – has already been viewed more than 1.5 million times and has received nearly 25 thousand shares.

She notes that the most rewarding part of working with animals is “seeing them get adopted and them being loved by their new family.” To make that dream a reality, Kleenex brand, in partnership with Emmy’s Hope and OC Animal Care, organized a large-scale adoption event, giving 42 dogs a home in a single day. Emmy said that the most impactful moment for her was seeing Fox, the dog she has been closest to at the shelter, go home with a loving family.
