Mr Postman debuts global letter-sending tool for campaigners

Campaign organisers can now use a new digital tool, Mr Postman Campaign, to set up global letter-sending campaigns which deliver hardcopy letters to the desks of decision makers, complete with real signatures from supporters around the world.

Mr Postman is a cross-device digital service that brings the classic effectiveness and impact of an organised mass letter-writing campaign into the twenty-first century, boosting the effectiveness of e-petitions. Campaigners can set up in minutes to target specific targets such as MPs, Government Departments or corporate executives, or can be set up for supporters to enter their postcode to lobby their local MP. Letters are delivered direct to the target’s official address, such as the MPs’ offices at the Houses of Parliament. The digital nature of the tool also enables UK expatriates to lend their support to campaigns from abroad.

Mr Postman also allows users to add the own signature to their letters, either by uploading an image of the signature or using the touch screen of their iOS device if they are using the app.

Mr Postman Campaign is the ideal resource for start-up campaigns, removing the expense of a dedicated website. It is also cost-saving for established organisations and groups, which can use the digital tool instead of the additional investment needed for the resource and in-house skills required to manage letter-sending built into a campaigner’s own website, and can save on paying for prepaid envelopes.

Leo Heffler, Product Manager, Mr Postman Campaign, said: “In an age when MPs and big business executives are inundated by emails, which they can filter out and ignore, the physical impact of a mass-letter campaign is the most impactful alternative for making your voice heard. Mr Postman Campaign offers campaigning individuals and organisations a fast, cost-effective, and tangible result. The ability to get a global letter-sending campaign up-and-running in minutes is a huge draw to pressure groups and campaigners.”
