My1login debuts password protection service

My1login has launched a new password protection service, which aims to capitallise on the growing number of online accounts, as cloud, mobile and social network use increases.

The launch follows recent password breaches by hackers on Linkedin and eHarmony.
Mike Newman, chief executive of My1login, claims more than 50 per cent of those who use the internet use the same password for their online accounts, which means they are increasingly in danger of falling prey to criminals.
My1login generates complex passwords for all online accounts, which is claimed to be safe from the prying eyes of hackers as it does not require the user to download software and does not store passwords.
Full login details are never exposed – users log in using only three random characters from their password. An onscreen keyboard can also be used on public computers to protect against keyloggers.
The service is free to use, but also offers paid consumer and business versions of its product.
