Right to reply: Is Cloud Computing about to thaw Winter working woes?

As the meteorological snow clouds gather over the UK, many organisations are beginning to count the cost of lost employee hours, due to weather related travel problems. Except for those who have invested in Cloud Computing, according to Lee Durrant, Managing Director of Resource on Demand.

Cloud Computing is able to thaw the UK Economy and salvage winter working problems, by enabling employees to work from home with the same ease as they would do in an office.
The issue facing employers in the UK is that employees are beginning to struggle maintaining their usual working hours due to ice and snow affecting travel and productivity.
As weather chaos strikes the UK those organisations who have embraced the cloud will be counting their blessings. Cloud Computing allows your entire company to have the same full working capability from their home as they would do in an office, including instant access to data, documents, customer records, sales patterns and emails.”
Recent research from the latest Gartner Hype Cycle report shows that Cloud Computing is expected to be fully “mainstream” in 2 to 5 years, potentially increasing the number of firms who can let employees work from home with the flexibility to outfox weather and travel chaos.
The benefits of cloud computing are clear, especially at times like this. Increasingly we will now see organisations shift from fixed I.T. to Cloud Computing. Potentially meaning that winter weather will no longer result in a slump in productivity.
