Health365, backed by Westfield Health, has launched a new online health insurance product available direct to consumers, offering health cover from £15 per month.

It enables consumers to choose the health cover that best suits their needs, with healthcare benefits that can be used every day as well as cover for unexpected healthcare costs for more serious issues.

It is primarily targeted at those who do not currently have any health cover, but who want to take more control of their health.

Westfield Health launched the brand and product following extensive independent market research.

Findings revealed that 96 per cent of those questioned would be happy to purchase their health cover online and 40 per cent used to have private medical insurance and miss the extra security it provided.

Health365 will directly target this gap in the mid-market, attracting professional couples, individuals and families.

Jill Davies, Chief Executive of Westfield Health, said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Health365 in a move that is certain to revolutionise the health insurance industry in the UK.

“Until now, people could choose to have a health cash plan and/or PMI. Health365 will redefine the health insurance landscape by providing consumers with a flexible alternative.

“Not only this, Health365 sets the standard in terms of customer engagement with the use of video to explain the cover clearly and simply. Then, in just a few minutes, customers can purchase cover to suit their needs.

“We’re thrilled to launch this new brand and product. We are certain that consumers will see the direct benefits of Health365 and we look forward to providing many people across the UK with the health cover they desire without the prohibitive price tag, all backed by Westfield Health’s renowned award-winning customer service.”

Twitter is now a 'destination website' and that means it is gunning for Facebook, but cleverly avoiding a direct dogfight. It’s more an information network than a social network and so is offering much, much more. Tanya Goodin, CEO of search and social conversion agency Tamar comments…
